The Window, 2021

During Covid-19 lockdown in the Netherlands, I kept going to my studio to draw. There was a snow day and on another day the sun shone brightly inside.
The days looked alike. My studio window used to be the main entrance door to the Wilhelmina Gasthuis Women’s Hospital. I imagined that there was a woman sitting in my studio every day behind the front desk, welcoming the female patients for their appointments.
